After the Draft and Free Agency have come and gone, the big moment that you've been waiting for this Pre-Season is now here. Yes, it's training camp. However, in order to have a successful training camp, you need to know how to use the program that will get your through it all, Individual Training Camp or ITC. While there are more current and up to date version of this utility that are currently being circulated, the DOFL uses the old 3.02 version which basically does the same things the others do and is easily accessible to all parties involved.
Note: When doing TC, it is imperative that you have the correct version of ITC. Not having the correct version of ITC will prevent the Commissioner's Office from running TC for all teams and it will force you to waste time by having to re-enter the information again.
1)To use ITC, you will need to open up ITC. Once you've opened up ITC, you will need to select your league from which you wish to work. In this case, since we are the DOFL, we are going to use the DOFL as the sample league here. Just navigate down until you locate it and double click on "DOFL.lge." Once you do that, you will see the roster of the first team listed in the league, which in this case is Buffalo, on the "Team Roster" screen over to the right.
2)The next step will be to select your team. In this case, we will use the New York Jets. Just go to "Selected Team" and click on New York(A).
Once you select and let go, it will then populate the "Team Roster" section of the ITC utility with the roster for that selected, as seen below.
3)Now that your team has been selected, you are almost ready to begin entering in your information for your training camp. However, before you can do anything else, it is necessary to set the minimum and maximum values for training camp. As mandated per league rules, it is required that a minimum of 5% be allocated to each of the 8 attributes for your players. This is not a bad thing. The 5% is what allows your player to not lose a single point. Failure to place a minimum on any attributes will cause that attribute to decline. Now that would suck, wouldn't it?
What you will need to do is click on the "Set Min/Max Values" button and set the minimum value to 5 and the maximum value to 40 as per the image below. Once set, go ahead and click on OK.
At this point, you are officially ready to begin entering in your percentages for ITC. The first thing you will need is to go over to the Team Roster section and click on a player. In this example, we will use QB Drew Bledsoe as an example.
4) Once you clicked and selected Bledsoe, will see a box like this which is where you will allocate the necessary percentages for your players. Note that the Current value minimum is set to 5 and that the max is set to 40, as set in the previous step.
At this point, you will go ahead and enter in the percentages you want allocated to the specific attribute. You will need to continue allocating percentages until you reach the total of 100 percent. Once you have reached the total of 100% complete allocation of percentrages and click on OK.
Now take a look at the Team Roster section and you will notice an asterisk next to Drew Bledsoe. The astrisk indicates that particular players percentages have been entered and are equal to the 100 percent total required.
5)After you have completed entering all the necessary, you will need to save your camp information. Failure to do so, will cause you to lose all the information you had entered. Once you click on save, you will see box like the image below that will indicate that your values have been saved. Once you've completed your entries click save and submit your ITC file to the Commissioner and that's it, you're done.
