First off, in order to play in Server Mode, it is required that you have a Registered Copy of Kali. You will also have needed to setup FBPro98 for use on Kali.

1)To set up Server Mode, go to the menu and select "Servers" then select "Server Mode" as pictured below.  What this effectively does is create a "local" server. It is also recommended that the connection that is dialup be the one to setup the server mode, if at all possible.

2)Meanwhile, the other side will need to click on "Servers" and then click on "Connect to Address."

3)Once you've done that, you will need to get the IP address from your opponent and enter it in the box. In most cases,  you will leave the box for port blank but there may be situations where that may be needed.

4)At this point, you should both be in the room and you should see . Once that has been established, you should see your FbPro98 Icon down at the bottom of the screen. Just right click on the icon and select "Run On Server" and Kali should begin bringin up FbPro98 and from that point forward, you'll load the game as you normally would in the Kali Setup.

That is basically how you do it for server mode. Make sure that your configuration for FbPro98 on Kali is setup per the setup instructions on the website.  Also, please be sure of the following. Just a reminder.

If the game locks, meaning it appears to be doing nothing, DO NOT CLOSE THE GAME. Wait at least 5 minutes the first time it happens before you close it. If it happens a 2nd or any time after that, wait at least 3 minutes. Note: if you get any file transfer error after the long wait, hit ok and the game will continue.

Thanks to Paul Cabrera and Nolan Denson of the IFL for their information as their notes on how to play FBPro98 in server mode is the basis for this setup guide.
