Rules for Pre-Season Free Agency
The rules for free agency are pretty simple. There will be 2 rounds of Free Agency remainig. However, there are a few steps that must be understood before bidding on Free Agents.
Check the example on the message board. This is how the bids are to be done.
Example: QB J.W. Blow, 5 credits St.Louis
Following this format will make things standardized and much easier for not only you but also for the other 29 owners in the league who may be potentially interested in bidding on a player you are placing a bid on. This will allow them to follow who has been bid on and for how much.
1.The second round of Free Agent Bidding begins at 9pm CST(4/21). This round will end at 9:01:00 pm CST on Friday(4/23). This means that any bids prior to 9 pm CST on Wed. will not be recognized and 2)Any bids up to 9:00:59 pm CST will be valid. Any bids starting from 9:01:00 pm CST on Friday will not be accepted.
2. A minimum of 5 credits must be placed on a player when placing a bid.
3. Before bidding, please be sure that there is not an existing thread for a player. If there is an existing thread, please use that thread, DO NOT start a new one. If there are duplicate threads, the one with the earliest posting date will be the valid one and any other threads for that player that have been started, will be deleted.
4. Once a bid has been placed for a player, the next bid must be a MINIMUM of 5 credits more than the previous bid. For example, if someone bids 10 credits, the next bid must be 15 credits.
5. If a bid reaches over 100 credits, the next bid must be a MINIMUM of 10 percent of the previous bid. For example, if a team bids 105 credits then the next team must bid a minimum of 116 credits.
6. Teams can bid on a maximum of 4 offensive and 4 defense players per FA Round. Kickers and Punters are included in this count.
7. Once a bid has been placed, it CANNOT be retracted. It can only be retracted if 1)the bid is not valid due to overspending of credits or 2)the bid was placed at the same time as another bid.
8. Bid wisely as these will be your credits for the entire year. In the event that you have an injury and you have no credits available then you will need to either a) trade for credits b) trade for a player or c) request a hardship waiver, which could cost you anything from a pick from next season or credits from next season.
9. In the event that two teams post the same bid on a player, the team with the earliest bid will be the accepted bid.
10. In the event that there is a dispute over the time of a posting, the time given on the message board is what will be accepted.
11.If a team bids more than it's allotment of credits, then the most recent bid will be rejected for that team.
12..If your roster is at the maximum when bidding takes place, please be prepared to submit a cut list within 24 hours of the end of bidding. This is to help get the files out as quickly as possible.
11.All trading of Credits will cease 1 hour before the deadline. This will make it easier for me to determine the final amounts for credits.
